I paid my first visit to when my sister's boyfriend put up a link to the website on Facebook. From there on I occasionally visited the site about 4 times a week. Later on I realised I could actually join dA and become part of the community (and I thought to myself wouldn't THAT be fun)! I couldn't have been more accurate.

From there on out I've become an addict, whenever my internet access gets capped, the first thing that popped into my mind was "What am I going to do without dA?, I'm going to miss out on a few days of Daily Deviations. "

I've never felt more comfortable anywhere else, because I've always felt like I was different from everyone around me. I feel like I fit in here and that I've discovered people who like and dislike the same things I do.

Deviantart has taught me more about art than what I would've learned from any book, magazine or any other website. There was so many different categories of art forms that I didn't even know could be categorised as art. I've learned more about different mediums, techniques, styles, ideas etc. from just browsing through the website, There are SO many artists on dA and I just want to congratulate all of them on their successes. I know I'll never even come close to the talent that even half of them have, but I will always love to support their art and to all the way!

I wrote this journal entry to celebrate being a part of dA for the past year and I hope there will be many more years to come!
